Singapore lah!!

Hello People!!
aaarrgghhhh.. It seems as if I haven't blogged since a life time. Months of struggles, that ended with getting my Bachelors Degree in hand that too with a FIRST CLASS. Thereafter, on 16th October 2011, I landed in a wonderful country "SINGAPORE" to pursue my Masters in Business Administration!! TRUST ME IT IS AN AWESOME COUNTRY!!

The first day to college and I wasn't knowing anybody around. Today, it is 24th November and I know around hundreds of people. THAT IS THE POWER OF NETWORKING! People are very very friendly over here. You ask for help to any person on the street and he will be very pleased in helping you, even though he might not know you.

The streets are clean, the town planning is awesome. Apart from town planning, the success of any city-country depends on the level of intellect and behaviour of its citizens. SINGAPORE HAS IT!! People are broad-minded, people are always happy over here. You wont find any person who is sad which is just opposite to what happens back in India, where people worry about their future 24/7. Throughout their life they live a donkey's life and at the old age they live a dog's life.

My University campus is wonderful, the facilities are world class. I have classmates from countries like Germany, Sweden, China, Japan, America, Malaysia, Indonesia and INDIA!! It feels very good when you walk and people whoever comes in front of you, knows you. I am fortunate to have wonderful people who teach me about Management.. MY PROFESSORS!! They are willing to help you at any extent. They share their personal experiences with the students, the most embarassing ones too, only because they want all the students to have a magnificient life ahead and dont want them to repeat the mistakes which they ever did in life.

Life over here is very fast. I miss home sometimes but thats a part of life. I want to prove myself.

HAHA I am flooded with research papers, assessments, presentation, case studies.. phew... thats fine I like this life and I am thankful to god for giving me such a great life giving me such wonderful eyes through which I am able to see such wonderful things around me!!!! atlast I would just like to say... HEYYY I AM HAPPY!!!

So, This is Abhishek Keni signing off from James Cook University!!

Pachhas paisa!!(Rs 0.50)..

Hi people!! hope you liked the new layout of my blog! As the saying goes "A penny saved is a penny earned", "chutte paise(change)" is what we MUMBAIKARS face severe penury of.. Let me begin with an incident in my college ki savari "TMT"

>passenger 1: oo master..ek passport office dya (gives him a Rs 20 note)
[the actual fare is Rs. 17.50]
>bus conductor: hey ghya (gives him the ticket and returns Rs. 2..actually he had to return him Rs. 2.50)
>passenger 1: master mazhe pannas paise dhya..
>bus conductor: sutte nahi aahet..challa gapp basa..
>passenger 1: oooo MASTER...mazhe 50 paise dhyaaaa!!!!!!
(the fellow pessenger started giving side commentary)..jaane do naa bhai..50 paise ki hi to baat hai..

The point behind stating this conversation is ummmm ok! one more example our most trusted newspaper THE TIMES OF INDIA costs Rs. 4.50..when you give Rs. 5 to the vendor he gives you the newspaper and stays quiet, when you ask him..BOSS 50 paise!!!! he will give you a weird look.

People, we have started earning in lakhs, so basically we don't know the importance of a 50 paise..NO NO..don't take me the other way round I m not miser..or kanjooos as you may say. I just want to highlight the fact that even the 50 paise coin holds a value.

If the bus conductor or the newspaper vendor says the same thing to 20 different people, he gets the EXTRA Rs. 10 in his pocket. Similarly 2 crores of 50 paise coins can lead to Rs. 1 crore Y??? can't we retaliate?? I also think that it is on the part of the government to either keep a track of such nuances or fix the prices of bus fares to a round off value.

We never know the value of something until it is no more..go and ask someone for 50 paise on the street of Mumbai and he or she will reply you with a MIDDLE FINGER!

A piece of advice especially for my engineer friends..soon we are going to earn in lakhs and millions and billions may be,if the almighty is kind enough..DO KEEP A NOTE ..Of SUCH SMALL ISSUES..So!!!..the next time when a bus conductor or newspaper vendor refuses to return that 50 paise..DEMAND IT!!!..

YES SIR!!

Hi friends, I m back again, but this time I want to tell u a short story which has been inspired by real life incidents of an IDIOT. Names of the characters been changed to protect their identity.

There was a boy named Sanjay(name changed). He wanted to do something great with his life. Inspired by his thoughts, he decided to join engineering. He was unable to cope up with the pressures of engg. and had difficulty in understanding the transition between the study pattern of junior college and engg., he got 2 KT's in the semester 1 university examination. He was shattered, but his family gave him courage to do better and improve his mistakes. He was strong, he didn't cry. Instead he took his failure positively. With his sheer hardwork and determination to do much better, he superceded all odds to get a FIRST CLASS in the second and third year of engineering.

After sometime he thought that now he should start thinking about WHAT NEXT?? He aimed at completing his masters from a pioneer institute. While collecting the documents for the same. he came face to face with a person, the Principal Mr. Tamboora(name changed) of his college. This person made a great satement looking at his marksheets. He said,"You are just making big talks, Look at your marksheet of sem 1.What contribution do you have in your result?? Are you worthy of doing your masters??(hindi translation--teri aukad hai kya masters karneki??)", This was the first time in his engg life when he had tears in his eyes.

People, Life is meant to be lived. Bad things are meant to be forgotten. During this small lifespan, we meet a plethora of people who try to discourage us by reminding us about our failures in the past. That's the time when you should say,"F%&^ Y%$". Move ahead. You know, people who have no work to do keep think about their failures in the past. Forget your past, live your present, plan your future!!

In search....

Look into you
do you really want to know who you are?

I want you to touch it
feel it,
know it,
got it !!got it!!got it!!
still frozen??
its your search,your search,your search!

got up early in the morning, found your soul missing,
its your name, your identity!
no one else feels it, its you who feels it!
its because you forgot even you could see
its because you forgot even YOU could BE

I want you to touch it
feel it,
know it,
got it !!got it!!got it!!
still frozen??
its your search,your search,your search!

trying to convince yourself that it dosent matter or bother you?
discovering all of your moments at a time?
nothing can stop you, you are never satisfied
its because you take what you want, refuse to be denied
its because you are living the moment, your present has declined

I want you to touch it
feel it,
know it,
got it !!got it!!got it!!
still frozen??
its your search,your search,your search!

you are lost in a prison- your old thoughts,
they are hunting you while you are been trapped
what shall they find in a useless body??
its because you really don't want to know who you are
its because you really don't want to know why you are

I want you to touch it
feel it,
know it,
got it !!got it!!got it!!
still frozen??
its your search,your search,your search!

Public Transport Analysis!!...

Here I m "breathing easy" after a stressful week of attending lectures in college and today i've taken a day off from college and now back to my favourite passtime "blogging" which is the best way to communicate with you all!!
I just remember an incident which happened last Friday. Last Friday was complicated from the start, I won’t deny it. The day started with me getting late to college (as usual) not because i m not punctual but my Bus is too adamant to be on time. I spent my day snoring during lectures ,enjoying with college mates, giving idiotic looks and playing pranks on the fellow "human beings" in college and in this way it was 4.00 p.m. and it was time to bunk the lecture and be back home.
Now I was on my way back from the college gate towards the station and suddenly I saw my "life" out there "My TMT bus no. 57" and guess what?? it was leaving ,and this sight was enough to put my tail on fire and forcing my legs to take-off and run as fast as i can to go and catch my "life", and yes, yes ,yes, yes I jumped into it and thank god I got a seat (which i don't usually get), pulled off my cell phone and started listening to some soft and slow music.
At one of the stops, 2 kids got into the bus, they caught my attention the moment I saw them. They had a squalid(dirty and wretched) appearance. The bus was not very crowded and there were quite a few vacant seats, but they were too shy or rather afraid to sit next to any passenger. Most of the passengers did not want them to sit next to them, an aged woman who was sitting alone on my neighboring seat shifted to the edge of the seat, so that those two kids couldn't sit beside her. Since I was sitting alone, I asked them to come and sit next to me. They were talking in a language I couldn’t understand, maybe they were talking telugu or something,. The little child was carrying a packet of 'bingo-potato chips' and apparently he wanted to eat it, but his elder sister,'akka',as he called her, was trying to convince him not to eat that ( may be she wanted to save that to eat later ).After a few stops a beautiful young chic boarded the bus and as expected people made a place available for her to sit beside them.
Life is actually made up of binary opposites – good/bad, day/night, rich/poor, beautiful/ugly, permanent/temporary and so on.
Just as life, the bus stops at various places. Then again after a halt, life gains momentum. Sometimes the road is bumpy and smooth at other. The journey by bus offers a close contact with humanity (of which we are partially deprived normally). All of us get so engrossed in the mundane issues, that we hardly have time to rise above it and notice other things. We people usually look at things differently . You and me, rich and poor, living and non-living, beautiful and ugly, etc all were created with the same hands of that almighty and we start looking things on the basis of beauty and money.
So people, the next time you travel by bus or train just try to "SEE" things around you and i assure you you'll definitely come around such incidents. I remember a dialogue from "AVATAR" which say's "nobody can teach you to see"!! I totally agree with this quote by W.H davies :"What Is This Life If Full of Care;We Have No Time to Stand and Stare".....
